NCFCA Day of Prayer is Tuesday, September 15th. Using this season's theme of Open Doors as a framework, we look forward to individuals, families, small groups, and clubs joining us in prayer for the league.
We believe that the Lord can use speech & debate to open doors for sharing the gospel, communicating truth, and loving people well, so we happily dedicated a day to praying together for this and for our entire community!
At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ . . . Colossians 4:3

Economics 101—Webinar Hosted by FEE
Join us on September 22 at 7pm CT for Economics 101, a webinar hosted by the Foundation for Economics Education (FEE). Designed for students, parents, and coaches, the FEE team will walk participants through the essentials of economics, including a special focus on Extemp and this year's debate resolutions. They will also provide a packet of related resource for further study.
This will be a a great jump start to the competition season AND to your study of social sciences for the year!
The webinar will be recorded and posted on the website.
The Apologetics Review Team provides insight and support to the speech program by evaluating NCFCA's Apologetics topic questions in light of our mission and current cultural challenges. They meet during the year to review, discuss, and propose changes to the Apologetics topic questions. The following changes have been adopted and approved by the Board for this year:
Is justification a gift? and Is Jesus the promised Messiah? have been removed.
Is God personal? and Did Jesus rise bodily from the dead? have been added.
Is hell real? has moved from the Humanity category to Salvation.
These changes resulted in some questions being re-numbered.
Find a summary of the changes for the season, including details about 2-day tournaments, students' ability to participate in 3 speeches per pattern (for up to 6 speeches at a tournament), additions to the staff, and event rule updates.
Blessings on families, clubs, and classes kicking off the season—and especially for new NCFCA families
God's comfort for our NCFCA families throughout the country who are experiencing grief and other difficult circumstances
If you know of members of the NCFCA family who are in need or crisis, please let us know by writing to prayerrequests@NCFCA.org. We would like to pray for them and find practical ways we can help.
