NCFCA Day of Prayer is Tuesday, September 15th. Using this season's theme of Open Doorsas a framework, we look forward to individuals, families, small groups, and clubs joining us in prayer for the league.
We believe that the Lord can use speech & debate to open doors for sharing the gospel, communicating truth, and loving people well, so we happily dedicated a day to praying together for this and for our entire community!
At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ . . . Colossians 4:3
Explore this season's theme of Open Doors and the ways it intersects with NCFCA's mission and reminds us to look for opportunities to be ambassadors for Christ!

Economics 101—Webinar Hosted by FEE
Join us on September 22 at 7pm CT for Economics 101, a webinar hosted by the Foundation for Economics Education (FEE). Designed for students, parents, and coaches, the FEE team will walk participants through the essentials of economics, including a special focus on Extemp and this year's debate resolutions. They will also provide a packet of related resources for further study.
This will be a great jump start to the competition season AND to your study of social sciences for the year!
The webinar will be recorded and posted on the website.
On Tuesday, October 13th at 7pm CT, join the Programming team for a Digital Presentation Webinar. With a focus on creating dynamic and compelling slides, this webinar will help students create more engaging visuals and enable parents and coaches to give effective feedback at home, in club or class, and on a ballot.
Then, on Thursday, October 29th at 7pm CT members of the Debate Committee will return for another Ask the Coaches webinar. What questions do you have about the resolution, coaching, or academic debate in general for our panel of debate coaches? Submit your questions and register here!
These webinars will be recorded and posted on the website.
Apologetics Topics—Note Updates
The Apologetics Review Team provides insight and support to the speech program by evaluating NCFCA's Apologetics topic questions in light of our mission and current cultural challenges. They meet during the year to review, discuss, and propose changes to the Apologetics topic questions. The following changes have been adopted and approved by the Board for this year:
Is justification a gift? and Is Jesus the promised Messiah? have been removed.
Is God personal? and Did Jesus rise bodily from the dead? have been added.
Is hell real? has moved from the Humanity category to Salvation.
These changes resulted in some questions being re-numbered.
Please note: The Apologetics Journal has been updated to reflect the changes. If you have purchased this product in the past, please return to the original link for the updates.
